We exist to host events, fundraisers, cultural celebrations, and everything in between. Whether you're new to Melbourne or have called it home for years, our association brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to share laughs, dance, food, and memories.
From cultural festivals and live music to laid-back catchups and community dinners — if it's fun and brings people together, we're about it. We're not just an organisation, we're your extended Sri Lankan family away from home.

Our story
How MSLA Began
2025
Founded
MSLA established — the first Melbourne-wide Sri Lankan social and cultural association, created for the community, by the community.
Jan 2026
Inaugural Meeting
MSLA held its first official meeting at South Wharf, Docklands. Executive positions nominated and community goals set for the year ahead.
2026
Community Growth
Grew to 750+ Instagram followers and 33 committee members, with events and cultural celebrations planned throughout the year.
2026
Digital Platform
Launched the MSLA digital platform for event ticketing, membership management, and community tools at account.msla.net.au.
