The MSLA website and platform are provided for general information, community updates, event promotion, and membership management. By using our website, you agree not to:

• Use the site in any way that breaches applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
• Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material
• Knowingly transmit any data, send or upload any material that contains viruses or any other harmful programs
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, the server on which the site is stored, or any server, computer, or database connected to the site
• Attack the site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack

Membership to MSLA is open to individuals who support the goals and values of the association. By registering as a member, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date registration information
• Comply with these Terms and Conditions and any additional membership rules
• Not misuse your membership for commercial purposes or to misrepresent your affiliation with MSLA

Membership fees, where applicable, are non-refundable once processed, unless otherwise stated. MSLA reserves the right to suspend or cancel memberships in cases of misuse, misconduct, or breach of these terms.

MSLA hosts events open to members and, in some cases, the broader public. By registering for an event, you agree that:

• You will comply with all event-specific rules, including our Drug and Alcohol Policy
• Photos and videos may be taken at events and used for MSLA's promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify event staff
• MSLA may change, postpone, or cancel events at any time. Refunds in such circumstances are governed by our Refund Policy
• MSLA is not responsible for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your attendance at an event

All payments made through the MSLA platform are processed via secure third-party payment platforms (including Stripe). MSLA does not store your financial or payment information on its own servers.

By making a payment, you confirm that the payment details you provide are accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.

All content on the MSLA website and platform — including logos, text, images, graphics, and software — is the property of the Melbourne Sri Lankan Association and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use any MSLA content without prior written permission from MSLA.

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We only collect data that is necessary for the operation of our platform and community services.

MSLA provides the website and its content on an "as is" basis. We make no guarantees regarding the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of any content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MSLA will not be liable for:

• Any loss or damage arising from your use of or inability to use the site
• Any loss or damage arising from your attendance at an MSLA event
• Any indirect, consequential, or special losses

MSLA may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
